Jorden has been home recovering nicely from his June 5th surgery.

It has been hard for him not to play ball, and run around with his friends, but he understands the importance of not twisting his core, and allowing his body to fully recover.

Jorden has seen many movies and has enjoyed spending time with friends at the house, playing video games.  Once we passed the four-week mark, we became a bit more courageous and played putt putt, and a few minutes of catch in the driveway.  Jorden is now approaching the 5 week mark and looks forward to July 18th when he no longer has limitations.

Despite the slow pace, we had a very nice July 4th.  We enjoyed time with the Petits at the Disney Cabins of Fort Wilderness.  Jorden and Johnny drove speed boats on the lake, relaxed on a pontoon boat, and had a nice slow-paced horseback ride.  It was one night and twenty minutes from home, nut we escaped into a tranquil cabin setting and enjoyed beautiful fireworks beachside.

Jorden has also enjoyed watching the DP All Stars play.  He has watched both the 10/11 and 11/12 teams play.  I thought it would be hard for him, knowing that he could not participate, but he loves being at the field and seems to always pull energy from being around the game and his friends.

This weekend we are looking forward to a few days in Tampa, to watch the Rays play. It is always fun to be at the park and it will be nice to get away for a few days

Today Jorden’s cousin Tara came to visit.  Jorden has always loved spending time with her, and is looking forward to hanging out these next few days.  They have already baked the most awesome chocolate chip pound cake, and are already planning on brownies as their next venture.

Thank you to all the friends who have played pool, video games and watched movies these past weeks.  You are awesome and great friends to Jorden and our family

On Tuesday the 16th Jorden is scheduled for a PET Scan here at MD Andeson, Orlando  I hate how these scans sneak up, and know in my heart that this scan will be clear and we will continue to enjoy the relaxing pace of this summer.
