Jorden has been focused on keeping healthy and gaining weight.  He remains positive and enjoys each day.  He looks strong and today weighed in at 87 pounds at the hospital clinic. Besides eating protein and drinking protein shakes, he has been busy with school work, baseball practices and a weekend travel ball tournament. Waking up for baseball games at 6am one day and 5am the next makes for very long days, however we can’t think of a better place to be than at the ball park with friends, watching our boys play the game of baseball.  Even though the boys didn’t come home with a trophy, they played hard, and didn’t give up.

Jorden is also enjoying having his brother Derrick back home.

We also met with the liver specialist. His enzymes are still high, and the GT, gamma function test was the most high of all.  He is having an ultra sound Wednesday. We are hoping and praying that this is temporary and is not serious or a chronic issue.

Our plans are set for Houston.  We plan to stay at The Ronald McDonald House by MD Anderson, and look forward to a positive, good trip.  We fly out on Jorden’s Birthday (Jan 27th) and he starts scans and doctor visits on the 28th. His surgery is scheduled for the 30th and we are scheduled to be in Texas until March 1st.

Jorden is happy and sad about flying out on his birthday. Happy to be here with his friends in the morning sad that it’s the “start” of another surgery.

Thank you Jeanne for your comment post about birthday cards, others have asked too.  If you would like to send Jorden a card for Jorden, please send it to

Jorden Aponte – 6720 Captains Way – Orlando, Fl, 32821

We will present his cards that birthday morning before we leave.

Thank you for always lifting Jorden in prayer, If you can, please send some extra prayers for good liver/abdomen scans on Wednesday.
