Jorden had a really nice week. He had chemo Monday thru Friday and ony felt a little “queezie” on one of the days.

He had a great time at the Orioles/Rays game Wednesday Oct 3rd and really enjoyed spending time with Carlos Pena and Manager Joe Maddon from the Rays as well as Coach Hale (3rd base coach) and Coach Presley (batting coach) from the Orioles. Thank you Mr. Vaughn for the awesome experience. You and the organization have been so wonderful and kind to Jorden.

The Rays did not have batting practice that evening but Jorden was invited into the Rays clubhouse.  The look on Jorden’s face when he walked into the clubhouse was priceless. He snuck behind Mr. Pena and when Mr. Pena noticed Jorden, he was all smiles and gave Jorden a huge hug. Another priceless moment was when Evan Longoria tapped Jorden on his shoulder and said excuse me to get to his locker. I thought Jorden’s eyes were going to pop out of his head.

On Saturday Jorden played in his first little league game, Jorden was disappointed with the team’s loss, and that he didn’t get a hit – he did however make contact at each at bat and got an RBI. Regardless, he was out on the field, with his team, enjoying the game he loves.

When Jorden stepped up to the plate for the first time he was greeted with a loud round of applause and cheers, this welcome by our friends and family brought tears to my eyes. Jorden was so happy and excited to see so many of his family and friends in the stands. We appreciate your time and support and thank you all for coming out and supporting Jorden’s return to Little League, it meant a great deal to him.

Tonight is Jorden’s second Little League game  The team plays at 6;30 in Winter Garden.

This week Jorden started taking milk thistle again to get his liver function counts under control. We go back to the clinic Thursday for his blood work and check up. His next Chemo week is Oct 22nd, until then Jorden will continue to focus on his school work, baseball and spending time relaxing at home.

We just finalized his Make a Wish trip too.  We will be heading to Hawaii in a few weeks.

Thank you cousin Jennifer for coming up this weekend. It was so nice to spend time with you, we hope to see you soon.
