It is now 24 hours since Jorden completed his big surgery.

He had a busy day – lots of blood work, 2 chest x-rays, breathing treatments, and an hour with a physical therapist who helped Jorden overcome pain, and sit on the edge of his bed.

Jorden has had some fevers throughout the day, he continues to be on a morphine IV, and will not be able to eat or drink for a while. In a few days they will access his feeding tube but until then – no fluids or food.

Family continues to be important. If he closes his eyes for a few minutes his question when opening them are “where is Derrick?” “where is David?”, ect. Today Jennifer had to fly back home, she will be missed greatly.

Jorden will remain in ICU for a few more days. We are still waiting on test results regarding his clotting issues. We expect more information tomorrow.

Overall today was a good day, a blessed day, the first day towards full recovery.
